IZARD COUNTY REAPPRAISAL NOTICES WILL BE MAILED BEGINNING JULY 15TH 2026
Beginning July 15, Izard County property owners will begin receiving their Notice of Real Estate Value Change in the mail.
We understand that receiving one of these notices can raise questions, so we'd like to explain what it means.
What is this notice?
This notice simply lets you know the new appraised value of your real property as determined during the countywide reappraisal process.
It is not a tax bill, and it does not necessarily mean your property taxes will increase by the same amount as your property's value.
Property values are based on market sales and appraisal standards required by Arkansas law. Some properties increase in value, some remain about the same, and others may decrease depending on the local real estate market.
Please contact our office after the first of the year, every year to update or create a new assessment for any personal or business property. This will help you avoid a 10% late assessment penalty after the May 31st date. Any new businesses should contact us for a business personal property rendition.
Check out this video about how to assess online from Data Scout!
Please notify our office before October 15, of current year, before you pay your taxes. If you receive your tax bill and you do not see a homestead credit and feel you are due one, please contact our office to see if you need to fill out the Homestead Tax Credit form, before you pay your taxes.
At the Izard County Assessor's Office, our mission is to equitably and accurately assess all real and personal property in a professional and courteous manner that assures public confidence and funding for public services. We strive to be a source of accurate and timely property information for local government, schools, and the community while upholding the laws of the State of Arkansas with fairness and integrity.

We love our taxpayers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
